Matt Applegate, MD

Matthew Applegate is a Colorado native and board-certified internal medicine physician. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, and completed his internal medicine residency at SCL Health–St. Joseph Hospital in Denver.

Dr. Applegate helped establish DAWN Clinic as a medical student and continues to serve on its Board of Directors. His work is grounded in a commitment to improving access to compassionate, continuous primary care for underserved communities. His clinical interests include preventive medicine and care for older adults.

Outside of work, Dr. Applegate enjoys movies and television—along with collecting DVDs and a few VHS tapes—pub trivia, cooking, and baking.
